  • Annual Show at UNSW Art & Design

    UNSW Galleries | Sydney, Australia | 2014

The installation ‘Entanglement’ was displayed at UNSW Galleries in Paddington in December 2014 as part of the Annual Exhibition for graduating students.

Vaughan O’Connor was the exhibition coordinator.

Two pairs of connected sculptures are conceptualisations of entangled quantum wave-particles. Varied shapes of the sculptures reflect distinct properties of wave-particles.

The video demonstrates a myriad of possibilities that exist before the collapse of a wave-function that happens in the moment of measurement.

  • Show Us Your Bits And Pieces

At the Vanishing Point | Sydney Australia | 2013

The artwork represents the symbolic meaning of music and its influence on our everyday life. How do we react to music? What changes does it stir in us? These are the questions that the artist asked herself while creating this abstract piece. The movement of a line is like the movement of melody. Colours resonate with beats. The rhythm of music and its flow was the main inspiration. The feeling that flows through your body when you listen to the music… How to explain this mysterious connection to melody that so many people experience?

  • 2016 National Creative & Performing Arts Showcase

The Year of Mercy: the RiPPLE Effect

Australian Catholic University in Strathfield | Sydney, Australia | 2016

    15 - 17 August 2016

    Synopsis

    According to Encyclopedia Britannica:

Entropy is the measure of a system’s thermal energy per unit temperature that is unavailable for doing useful work. Because work is obtained from ordered molecular motion, the amount of entropy is also a measure of the molecular disorder, or randomness, of a system. The concept of entropy provides deep insight into the direction of spontaneous change for many everyday phenomena [1].

These paintings proclaim that the ripple effect does not always happen according to an obvious sequence of events. Often, we see consequences of random actions that happened spontaneously and unconsciously but brought about significant changes to life experience. These abstract works completed by layering paint, soft pastels, glue and varnishes represent chaos that led to an expression of freedom and fluidity.

According to an online community Social Media Today:

The ripple effect in sociology can be observed how social interactions can affect situations not directly related to the initial interaction [2]

Therefore, these paintings reflect the artist’s experience of social interactions that did not results in an expected outcome, instead, a new opportunity appeared and evolved into a bewildering social scenario.

  • SHELVES

The Shop Gallery | Sydney, Australia | 2018

The Shop Gallery on 112 Glebe Point Road hosted my solo exhibition SHELVES. This was my first time curating an exhibition. It was exciting to do everything from selecting what work to show to deciding how to position it in the gallery. That exhibition marked a decade of my creative practice, and I chose a range of styles – intricate pencil drawings and bold abstractions – to show how my interests shifted. The years 2008-2012 were more about intense exploration of physical and emotional journeys and 2013-2014 were dedicated to the analysis of quantum physics and in-depth research of the ways to represent it visually.  What I wanted to show to the audience was a variety of abstract work and my passion for this genre.
