SHELVES

The Shop Gallery | Sydney, Australia | 2018

The Shop Gallery on 112 Glebe Point Road hosted my solo exhibition SHELVES. This was my first time curating an exhibition. It was exciting to do everything from selecting what work to show to deciding how to position it in the gallery. That exhibition marked a decade of my creative practice, and I chose a range of styles – intricate pencil drawings and bold abstractions – to show how my interests shifted. The years 2008-2012 were more about intense exploration of physical and emotional journeys and 2013-2014 were dedicated to the analysis of quantum physics and in-depth research of the ways to represent it visually.  What I wanted to show to the audience was a variety of abstract work and my passion for this genre.
