Russian as a foreign language

Teaching your native language is not as simple as it sounds. I would even argue that teaching the native language is harder than the acquired one. Why? – Primarily because of a psychological barrier. It is much harder to accept that someone who doesn’t speak your native language will find it extremely difficult to learn it. How come, you would think? It’s so easy for me to speak; why does he struggle so much to understand the basics? Teaching Russian is an everyday training in how to be patient, non-judgemental and overwhelmingly creative. The Russian language is so diverse and flexible that no one approach can fit all. The most magical thing about teaching Russian is having an opportunity to look at your native culture through the eyes of others. It is a real experiment in altering the perception of your roots and what you take for granted.

In this section, I will address several points that will make learning Russian easier.
