Are you doing everything you can to prepare your child for the Perse Prep School Entrance Examination?
The exam is taken in January and consists of 1) Maths 2) English 3) Verbal and non-verbal reasoning tests, and 4) Oral contribution
These tutorials specialise in preparing your child to write a short story based on an image-prompt
In these tutorials, your child will get used to:
- expressing their ideas orally and in writing
- honing in on their imagination to develop characters
- quickly coming up with realistic dialogues
- being able to organise ideas on paper under time constraints

Learning and teaching method
5-year old children already have a world of ideas, characters and stories. In these tutorials, I facilitate the learning process in such a way as to help children externalise these ideas: both orally and in writing. Together we pin the ideas down on paper and with lots of writing practice, the child gets used to the whole process.
How does it work?
- Get in touch to discuss your child’s individual needs
- Discuss the schedule and find the most optimal day and time for the child to practise writing
- The child attends regular lessons and practises writing skills
- The child practises putting down ideas on paper in a structured way using all key elements of the narrative structure
- The child learns how to be time-efficient
- The child sits for the exam in January
